Would you like to work with us as a volunteer?
Work with the Blood & Tissue Bank as a volunteer
We need responsible, committed volunteers who want to help us organise blood donation campaigns in their areas, or to help highlight the importance of donating blood amongst their friends and family.
Ways of volunteering
- Be a delegate: volunteer delegates act as a link between the Blood Bank’s Communications Department and their local area to help make the necessary preparations for a blood donation campaign.
- Organise a donation campaign at your company: if you would like us to organise a donation campaign at your company, please contact us. Our staff will then use established criteria to decide whether to go ahead with a blood donation campaign.
- Provide information about donating blood: tell your friends and family about the importance of giving blood regularly and to make it a civic-minded and participative act to ensure self-sufficiency of supply in Catalonia.
- Others: take part in other activities to encourage people to give blood, such as making telephone calls or participating in a blood donation campaign.
Who can be a volunteer?
Anyone who:
- is over 18
- has free time and wants to use it to promote giving blood
- wants to work in a team
- is responsible in taking on and meeting their commitments
- is available to work altruistically as an unpaid volunteer
